The World is My Canvas

Recently I had this epiphany. Being an artist is more, at least it should be more, than drawing pretty pictures all the time. Art should be a way you live your life. The way you impact people, and treat the world around you. So now I have a new outlook in life. “How can I live today, to make my life and the world around me into a beautiful masterpiece, that I can be proud to call my own?” Well for one, I can make good use of the tools that God has put at my disposal. What tools you ask? Be patient and I’ll tell you.

God has given me specific tools to paint my life. First and foremost I have my faith. God’s word is my reference, and his grace and mercy is my eraser or “White Out” when I make mistakes. I have my mind, and body, and my voice, those are my brushes, and pencils, and pens, all the things that make the physical marks on my canvas. Next I have my family and my friends, my parents, pastors, and teachers. They teach me how to use my tools to make the biggest difference. Finally, the world is my canvas, a great big painting that is waiting for someone to make a difference, to outline a better future.

I hope that wasn’t too boring, but I just wanted to share this with all of you. I am out to make a splash. Now who’s with me!?!TheWorldIsMyCanvas_WaterMark_Large
